What is Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)?
Orofacial – oro·FAY·shul: relating to the mouth and face.
OMT helps improve the way the muscles of the mouth, tongue, face, and airway work together.
Therapy focuses on healthy breathing, chewing, swallowing, speaking, and proper tongue posture to improve function and quality of life.
Children frequently benefit from therapy to help with mouth-breathing, tongue-tie or protrusion, difficulty swallowing, unclear speech, and preparation for orthodontics.
Teens & Adults often benefit from OMT for TMJ symptoms, snoring, headaches and more.
